Pioneering Dutch powerhouse Verknipt launches 'Pulse' platform focused on hard dance

Dutch electronic music institution Verknipt has announced the launch of a new event concept and platform called Pulse, which is aimed at showcasing emerging and high-intensity styles within the hard dance music spectrum.

The Pulse series is designed as both a dedicated event format and a recurring stage concept within Verknipt's broader festival lineup. It aims to spotlight innovative artists across a wide range of subgenres including hard groove, trance, eurodance, rave and hard house.

The initiative marks a new chapter for the brand, which has been active in the scene since 2012 and is known for its large-scale hard techno events as well as hard techno outlet Verknipt Records.

Co-founder Mer Hajbarati says, "We have always embraced the future of hard dance music, and Pulse is the next natural step," says Mer Hajbarati, co-founder of Verknipt. "Hard techno became a global movement, and we’re beyond proud to have been a pioneering force. The hard dance landscape is evolving—styles are emerging, fresh artists are breaking through, and the sound continues to evolve. Pulse is our commitment to leading this next wave, creating new spaces for innovation while maintaining the energy and intensity that define Verknipt."

Pulse will debut with a standalone event on 11 May at Later aan Zee in Bloemendaal, Netherlands with Hujus, Bella Claxton, DJ Guestlist b2b NYCO, Prada2000 b2b Lammer and ØTTA followed by a second event at the same place on 7 September with Hurts, Rozie, SZG, Fenrick, Hannah Laing and Odymel. As well as that, Pulse will host its own stage at Verknipt Festival on 7 and 8 June 7 with pre-sale tickets for the May 11 event on sale now.
