MXGPU Return to Discotexas With Fast-Paced Peak-Time Single 'Lagged Out'

Following their sold-out Live Under Lisbon underground event and the release of their Live Over Porto performance film from Primavera Sound, Portuguese duo MXGPU return to their home imprint Discotexas today with their brand new single, ‘Lagged Out’.

The collaborative project of Moullinex (Luís Clara Gomes) and GPU Panic (Guilherme Tomé Ribeiro), MXGPU deliver one of their most stripped-back and fast-paced cut to date. Built specifically for the physical intensity of peak-time dancefloors, ‘Lagged Out’ pairs relentless forward momentum with deep melodic textures, following September's ‘All The Love’ as the duo continue expanding the sonic world of their debut album, Sudden Light.

"One of our most minimal tracks, and also one of the fastest... its DNA is peak time energy, made purposefully for our hybrid sets," share MXGPU.

The single arrives on the heels of Live Under Lisbon on October 10th, a sold-out showcase at Hidden Metro Olaias that transformed a subterranean section of Lisbon’s subway system into an eight-hour temporary club featuring performances by Adriana Ruas, Isadora, Madd Rod, Sainte Vie, and MXGPU. The event continued the duo's ongoing exploration of how architecture and spatial design reshape the connection between artists and audiences, following high-concept performances above the Tagus River and suspended over Primavera Sound Porto's main stage.

MXGPU’s global momentum carries into the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) this Sunday, October 25th, as they bring their signature 360° triangular live setup to Gardens of Babylon’s The Seekers of Light showcase at WestWeelde (20:30–22:00 PM).

Supported globally by tastemakers including RÜFÜS DU SOL, Keinemusik, Damian Lazarus, and LP Giobbi, MXGPU continue to dissolve the boundaries between electronic music, technology, and immersive performance art.
