EdiP Went From the UNVRS Dancefloor to the Booth in One Year
The Bucharest producer kept a promise he made in the crowd at FISHER's party. Now a second John Summit remix and a HEXAGON debut push him into his biggest chapter yet
A year before EdiP played UNVRS, he stood on its dancefloor. It was his first trip to Ibiza, and he had found his way to FISHER's party at the club. Then FISHER dropped one of his tracks. EdiP made himself a promise on the spot. Next summer, he would be in the booth.
He kept it. In June, John Summit brought him to Experts Only at UNVRS, a booking that made him the first Romanian artist to play the club. Weeks later he was back in the Main Room, this time at FISHER's own residency.
Born Eduard Preduca, EdiP came up in Bucharest, a city with one of Europe's deepest attachments to minimal. He started producing around a decade ago and cut his teeth in the clubs that define the local scene, from Nook to Grădina Monteoru. That grounding still shapes everything he makes. His records carry the precision and patience of Romanian minimal, but they hit with the drive of modern tech house.
The blend has travelled. EdiP ranked sixth among Beatport's top minimal artists across 2023 and 2024 and scored his first Beatport number one with 'Nuthin' On', a collaboration with Chicks Luv Us on Kaluki Musik. Releases on Experts Only, Insomniac Records, Catch & Release and Club Sweat followed. His tracks now turn up in sets from FISHER, John Summit, Mau P, Marco Carola, Jamie Jones, Joseph Capriati and Paco Osuna, and SiriusXM's OCHO has carried his music on American radio.
John Summit sits at the centre of his recent run. Summit picked EdiP to remix 'Focus' for his Playa Package, a set of reworks built for his Burning Man sunrise set on the Mayan Warrior art car. Then came the stages. Summit put him on the Experts Only x Loveland lineup at ADE 2025, then at UNVRS, then at Tofte Manor in the UK this July. EdiP and Dinu also landed 'Nocturno' on the label this summer.
"John has been a huge part of my journey beyond the remixes too," EdiP says. "From inviting me to play ADE, UNVRS, and Tofte Manor to becoming part of the Experts Only family, I'm really grateful for everything that's come from that relationship."
The latest chapter of that story is out now. EdiP's remix of Summit and LAVINIA's 'Shadows' landed on Experts Only on October 16. He fell for the original long before anyone asked him to touch it. "I still remember the first time I heard 'Shadows'. John posted it on Instagram and it immediately stuck with me," he says. "I've probably listened to it 50+ times since then, no joke."
When the stems arrived, he finished the remix in a single day. His version runs darker and deeper than the original, with synths that seem to talk back to the dancefloor.
A second door opens on October 30, when 'Sober' arrives on Don Diablo's HEXAGON. For EdiP, the release closes a loop that started when he first sat down to produce. "Don and HEXAGON were both a big reference point for me when I was starting to figure out my own sound," he says. "To now have my own music coming out on the label is something I'm really proud of." He celebrated it early at the HEXAGON showcase during this year's ADE, a year after Summit first brought him to Amsterdam.
The map keeps growing. In September he made his Asia debut with dates at Muse in Seoul and AM:06 in Shenzhen. December brings tours across Asia and Australia, and his North American touring debut follows in early 2027.
Not bad for a raver who once heard FISHER play his record from the crowd. EdiP made one promise on that Ibiza dancefloor. Everything since suggests he is still keeping it.
