Brazilian Talents nocapz. and Coppola Unite on DFTD With ‘Too Much’

Brazil continues to supply the global dancefloor with new energy, and the latest example comes from nocapz. and Coppola, who join forces on DFTD, the London-based label under the Defected umbrella. Their collaborative single ‘Too Much’ lands on 6 March 2026, already drawing support from selectors including Jamie Jones, Max Styler, A-Trak and John Summit.

For nocapz., the release marks a significant milestone. The São Paulo-based artist has been steadily building a reputation for injecting the groove of 90s house into contemporary club sets, blending classic influences with a sleek modern sensibility. His rise has taken him from Brazil’s thriving underground circuit to international stages such as Mochakk’s Calling Festival in Malta, with further global appearances on the horizon, including a set at Defected Malta later in 2026.

“I’m super excited to be debuting on DFTD, a label I’ve followed for a long time,” nocapz. says. “It’s an honour to be part of such an amazing catalogue. ‘Too Much’ came from the desire Coppola and I had to create something together, and the final result couldn’t have turned out better. I hope people enjoy it as much as we do.”

For the track, nocapz. teamed up with fellow Brazilian producer Coppola, an artist known for his broad musical influences and vibrant approach to house music. Coppola has built his own path through collaborations with notable figures in Brazil’s music scene while shaping a sound that balances dancefloor functionality with melodic depth.

The track itself emerged from a collaborative studio process. “nocapz. sent me an initial idea built around piano, bass and vocals,” Coppola explains. “The piano melody he shared was short but strong, so I built a harmony around it and created the chords. Everything started fitting together naturally. From there I added synth elements and developed the A section, which connected perfectly with his B section. The final result turned out amazing.”

Driven by sharp percussion and bright synth hooks, ‘Too Much’ sits comfortably between classic house energy and modern festival dynamics, a balance that has already caught the attention of several influential DJs.
