ADE 2025 joins Amsterdam’s 750th birthday with citywide cultural program
Music, art and community collide in a once-in-a-lifetime edition

This October, Amsterdam Dance Event will align its 2025 edition with one of the city’s biggest milestones: Amsterdam’s 750th anniversary. Running October 22–26, ADE will serve as the lead-up to the city’s official birthday on October 27, 2025, creating a symbolic handover between festival and anniversary.
Highlights of ADE Arts & Culture x 750 include immersive opening nights at ARTIS Planetarium with Suzanne Cianiand Julius Horsthuis x Rival Consoles, a Concertgebouw special spotlighting 50 years of Surinamese music, the ZERØBPM 39.5-hour ambient marathon at Thomaskerk, and a deep dive into Chinese club culture at Wereldmuseum. On the city’s actual birthday, Young Marco, Legowelt and Mary Lake will perform ambient sessions at Concertgebouw, offering a reflective close to a historic year.
Meanwhile, ADE Friends x 750 brings nearly 130 locations into play, hosting free community-focused activities ranging from record store DJ sets to live radio, sports crossovers, and vinyl marathons—making sure the anniversary spirit is felt across every corner of Amsterdam.
The full program will be announced in the coming weeks. Individual tickets and the ADE Pro Pass are available now via ADE’s website.
