Unheard Music launches as a label for artistic freedom and underground expression

Unheard Music arrives as a new collective-driven record label built on the principle of freedom over formulas. Centered on artists and truth in sound, the imprint is dedicated to releasing music that is uncompromising, unpredictable, and charged with underground energy. The announcement comes alongside its debut release, Rabbit Hole, from Far&High and pizzaaftersex, featuring remixes by Sasha Carassi and Gorge. A full catalogue of releases will follow across both digital and vinyl formats, underscoring the label’s focus on tangible, artist-led output.

Created from the belief that dance music should exist beyond trends, algorithms, or safe formulas, Unheard Music offers artists the freedom to go off-script. Its mission is simple: to provide a space where creators can break boundaries, experiment, and be heard in ways that feel raw and honest.

The label was founded by three artists who embody this philosophy. Far&High, a project shaped by over 25 years of experience in electronic music, blends indie dance with fearless experimentation and is known for tracks like Alone and Sans Vêtements. pizzaaftersex, with tens of millions of streams in cinematic music, now turns toward the dancefloor with genre-fluid DJ sets that balance emotion and rhythm. Mona Chrome, a rising techno artist rooted in dub and house traditions, brings a hypnotic sound that’s already earned support from Solomun and Pan-Pot, with forthcoming Unheard releases set to expand her profile further.

Far&High comments:

“We are happy to be part of not only the first release on Unheard Music, but also to be among the co-founders of this label. It’s a huge and meaningful part of our musical life. We want this label to become a comfortable space for self-expression, because if you think about it, there are only two types of music in the world: the kind you like and the kind you don’t. Our goal is to move beyond all genre, stylistic, and conceptual boundaries.

Our dream is to create a community that simply loves music, and our collaborative project Unheard Music is an attempt to erase those barriers. The label's focus is not genre-driven, but by the artistic vision of its creators. This is where the absence of a defined genre becomes the concept itself. We collectively believe in music that comes sincerely from the heart, without expectations… just great music. In the end, the concept is simple: freedom fuelled by dance music.”

Beyond its recorded output, Unheard Music aims to build a broader movement through events in Dubai, London, and New York, as well as video mixes, podcasts, and off-site sessions in distinctive locations. These experiences will connect people through sound, presenting music as culture and community rather than algorithmic content.

Rabbit Hole marks the first step in Unheard Music’s journey, a statement of intent that captures the label’s experimental edge and vision. Designed to resonate both on and beyond the dancefloor, the release sets the tone for what’s to come — a platform where artistic freedom and underground spirit take center stage.
