Tjade starts label agrio tracks: a sanctuary for artists of all sorts

Agrio Tracks, the brand new record label of popular DJ and producer Tjade, releases its second EP with AUTOFLOWER & Di After. The bold and bouncy tracks, titled, 8AM and Energy, feature the DJ’s shared love of progressive house with a touch of '90s nostalgia, and have already received early support from Solomun, Job Jobse, Roi Perez, Maruwa, Perel and Pablo Bozzi.

An ode to the early hours of a festival or club night, 8AM and Energy fit together perfectly while maintaining entirely their own feel. 8AM combines energetic synths, powerful basslines and classic vocal samples with various trance breaks, resulting in a high-energy hit that will undoubtedly be played on repeat for the rest of the summer. Energy, on the other hand, sets itself apart with a recognizable vocal lead and a rolling organ bass that revives any party to life. Both tracks ignite the atmosphere, creating an infectious pulse that resonates through every corner of the dance floor.

“As a label owner, I am extremely proud of this Agrio release,” says Tjade. “And as a DJ, I have to say, the energy and enthusiasm generated from playing these tracks is just unprecedented. Whether you're chasing the sunrise or reliving the night, 8AM and Energy encapsulate the very soul of summer.”

Meet the artists

Dutch producers AUTOFLOWER & Di After might be up-and-comers that hail from the same Dutch city of Nijmegen, but they’re quickly making their names known.

AUTOFLOWER has made an impact on the Dark Disco & Indie Dance scene with over forty tracks across a wide variety of labels, receiving support from a divergent list of artists that features names like Armin van Buuren, Adriatique, Joris Voorn and Fideles. With his focus now set on the revived house scene, we are sure to hear many other artists play his music in the future.

Di After, while in an earlier phase of his career, has not gone completely under the radar either. Coming off the back of his maiden release on the British mainstay Hooj Choons and receiving support from the likes of Palms Trax, Benwal & Roi Perez, this youngster is set on an upward trajectory that will only be confirmed by this release on Agrio Tracks.

Label info

Agrio Tracks takes inspiration from the Greek Island of Patmos. Floating in the deep blue South-Aegean sea, this island, once a refuge to the apostle Johanne, has become a modern-day haven for creatives. Here, you can marvel at centuries-old art, experience inspiring performances and become mesmerized by beautiful music wherever you go — whether you’re climbing up to the monastery of Chorá, making your way down to the harbor of Skala or settling underneath a tree at Agrio Livadi beach.

About 2500km North West, in Amsterdam, DJ and promoter Tjade sought to distill the creative energy and essence of Patmos and create a space for young and unestablished artists to feel at home. During the ten-year process of launching his own career, Tjade found time and again how cold and distant the music label industry could be. With the launch of Agrio Tracks, he was, quite literally, creating a warm, open space for other artists to find refuge. A place that is all about the heart, the soul and naturally, the music.
