Terminal V concludes Edinburgh run of festivals following an iconic final edition

Terminal V has concluded its Edinburgh chapter following its final edition at the Royal Highland Centre after a nine-year run in the Scottish capital.

The last event took place across 18–19 April 2026, with tens of thousands of attendees dancing across six stages and featuring more than 100 international artists. The edition included a full site transformation and updated sound design developed in collaboration with d&b audiotechnik.

Organisers have confirmed that while the Edinburgh chapter has ended, plans are in place for a new Scottish location from 2027, alongside further international expansion including a forthcoming launch in Australia.

Derek Martin, co-founder of Terminal V says “Nine years ago we had a vision for what Terminal V could be, and Edinburgh gave us the platform to realise it. Closing this chapter is bittersweet, but watching so many people share this weekend with us made it feel like the celebration it deserved to be. This might be the end of one era but we are excited about what is coming next. 2027 will also mark our 10th anniversary as well as a new exciting chapter for Terminal V."

Simon McGrath, co-founder of Terminal V says “The standard of this weekend is the benchmark we’ll take with us. We never compromise, and we never will. What comes next for Terminal V will be bigger and more ambitious than anything we’ve done before.”

The final lineup featured techno, house and harder electronic styles including Sara Landry, Klangkuenstler, Mall Grab, Robert Hood and Ben Hemsley.

Since 2017, Terminal V has grown into one of Europe’s largest electronic music festivals, attracting over 250,000 attendees to Edinburgh during its run. The festival has also received industry recognition, including placements in the DJ Mag Top 100 Festivals poll and Best UK Festival at the DJ Mag Best of British Awards in 2023.
