Space 92 and Charles D come together for new single on Drumcode
Drumcode alumni Space 92 and Charles D release their first collab single ‘The Bouncer’ Drumcode out today. Both tastemaker favourites, they are at home on world-renowned stages and revered labels.
Space 92 and Charles D have collaborated together in the studio for the first time on new single 'The Bouncer' which lands 11 April on Drumcode.
French producer Space 92 and Italian-born, New York-based Charles D are influential figures in the contemporary landscape. Space 92 brings acid-tinged techno inspired by 1980s sci-fi and pop and is ranked among the top-selling Peak Time Techno artists since 2020. He has landed here before with his 2023 track 'Time' and recently launched his own label, TAKEOFF. Charles D blends driving techno with progressive elements and has regularly featured on Beatport’s Peak Time Techno charts. Recent highlights include 'Yantee' on Drumcode’s A-Sides Vol. 13 and 2023’s 'Don’t Stop' while he also hosts the Synthesized radio show.
Their cut 'The Bouncer' samples Kicks Like a Mule’s 90s hit of the same name and is a raved-up techno track with tight, rumbling bass and bright synth stabs that are edgy and raw. A smart vocal sample from a classic party film adds extra atmosphere with superb sound designs and flashes of acid all ensuring it makes maximum impact.
