Sammy Virji announces new album ‘Same Day Cleaning’ with Times Square pop-up

New school garage king Sammy Virji has announced his upcoming album, Same Day Cleaning, which is set for release on 19th September via Capitol Records. To celebrate, he took over New York’s Times Square with a surprise pop-up event featuring special guests.

Sammy Virji is a UKG innovator from Oxford who has pushed the genre forward and risen onto the international stage. Nominated for Best Producer at DJ Mag’s Best of British Awards in 2023, Virji has amassed millions of streams with hits like ‘Find My Way Home,’ ‘Shella Verse’ featuring Flowdan and ‘If U Need It.’ He has also collaborated with artists like Chris Lake and Nathan Nicholson and recently partnered with Interplanetary Criminal on the acclaimed track ‘Damager.’

The new album’s first singles include ‘Cops & Robbers’ featuring grime legend Skepta, ‘Nostalgia’ featuring Issey Cross and ‘I Guess We’re Not The Same.’ These tracks showcase Virji’s range within UKG and blend vibrant garage rhythms with new, innovative production.
