Reinier Zonneveld returns with potent remix of Showtek’s ‘FTS’
Dutch hard techno titan Reinier Zonneveld has released a new remix of Showtek’s hardstyle classic 'FTS' on April 25. The electrifying new cut track reimagines the original with a high-intensity techno approach that builds in a faster tempo and powerful kick drum designed for peak-time sets.
Zonneveld is the founder of the Filth On Acid label and has been playing the remix in his live sets at places like his sold out show at Amsterdam’s 13,000 capacity Ziggo Dome for the past three years, which has helped to introduce 'FTS' into the techno scene. Known for his classically trained background and dynamic live performances, Zonneveld has built a reputation as one of techno’s most prominent and innovative figures with a focus on hard and unrelenting grooves laced with acid and traces.
Speaking about the release, Zonneveld said: “‘FTS’ is an all time classic with a perfect combination of emotion and raw energy. A long time ago I wanted to fit it in my sets, so I remixed it in my livesets. After a lot of trying out I got to the version where I'm happy to call it my take on ‘FTS’! It works really really well and has been a highlight in my sets for years.”
