Quite Lucky Records Opens Applications for Romanian DnB Writing Camp ‘Echoes III’

Quite Lucky Records has opened applications for Echoes III, the third instalment of its drum 'n' bass writing camp, set to take place from September 11–18 in the remote village of Breb, Maramureș.

Aiming to bridge the gap between Romanian and international scenes, the eight-day retreat brings together producers, vocalists, songwriters, and MCs for a week of collaborative sessions, creative exchange, and organic studio creativity.

For this edition, the Romanian drum and bass platform and label has partnered with UniCredit Bank to offer one fully funded spot for an emerging artist, covering all accommodation, meals, and transport costs.

The selected applicant will join an international roster that includes Hugh Hardie, Satl, Javeon, T-Man, Azotix, Blocksberg, Moxu, Mihaiul, Bogdvn, and Tian. Material produced during the week will also be earmarked for future release on Quite Lucky Records.

The camp follows previous editions in the Transylvanian villages of Viscri and Cobor, which previously hosted the likes of Flava D, Makoto, Solah, PVC, and HOAX. Those initial gatherings formed the basis of the label's Echoes documentary series, capturing spontaneous writing sessions and cross-border collaborations in isolated rural settings.

Applications close on August 31. Artists can submit their application via the Google form here. Learn more about the opportunity and Quite Lucky’s initiative here.
