Oliver Heldens and Aevion release new single Amnesia on Heldeep Records
Dutch DJ and producer Oliver Heldens has hooked up with UK artist Aevion for Amnesia, a smooth and melodic house track arriving June 20 on Heldeep Records.
Heldens is a mainstay in global dance music with a signature sound that bridges house and mainstream appeal, and here he returns to his label with a collaboration that highlights Aevion’s melodic and genre-fluid style. Aevion previously appeared on OH2, a Heldeep sub-label, and now makes his debut on the main imprint.
Heldens says, “The moment I heard the combination of the organic, melancholic piano and the catchy, powerful vocal sample in a demo that my super talented friend Aevion sent me last year, I felt right away that this could become a special track. Working on the demo with Aevion was a lot of fun as we turned it into a modern Trance meets (Speed) Garage kind of tune while keeping it pretty timeless and somewhat mellow/atmospheric, not too big-room and ‘speedy’. We think it has the perfect balance, and even if it’s not a ‘crossover dance hit’, we believe it’s the kind of track we’ll still be very proud of in the far future.”
Aevion adds, “It was a demo I created a while back, it was part of a package of demos I sent over to Oliver and the Heldeep team around May last year. Oliver liked the original "Amnesia" demo and decided to experiment with different layers, including the bass and drums. We have been back and forth with the record for over a year now, but I'm thrilled with the final result! Sounds huge.”
Built around UK garage-inspired drums, atmospheric piano chords, and a memorable vocal hook, Amnesia balances emotional depth with clean, club-ready production.
The single has featured prominently in Heldens’ recent sets and arrives ahead of a busy summer tour schedule, which includes performances at Tomorrowland, Creamfields, Parookaville, and multiple Heldeep-branded events across Ibiza, Mykonos, and Las Vegas.
