NYCO lands official release for Like A G6 (NYCO Remix) via Universal Music Group

NYCO is set to deliver an official rework of Like A G6, the era-defining club hit originally by Far East Movement, The Cataracs and DEV. The remix’s journey from informal studio idea to fully cleared global single highlights the continued power of DJ culture to shape the lifecycle of dance music.

The track first surfaced in late 2024, created during a spontaneous studio session within NYCO’s close circle. What began as a loose concept quickly developed into a fully realised club tool, with its early versions refined through rapid iteration rather than a formal release plan.

From the outset, the focus remained on functionality, testing how the rework translated in real dancefloor environments rather than positioning it as a commercial single.

That testing phase accelerated at the start of 2025 when NYCO debuted the remix during tour dates in Australia. Immediate crowd reactions signalled strong potential, and the track soon became a staple in subsequent sets.
