New Zealand and Manchester Collide in Faster Horses’ Atmospheric Rework of TWOFACED’s ‘Yearning’
TWOFACED’s standout track ‘Yearning’ finds its third life this May 8th at the hands of Faster Horses—the alias of Manchester-based producer Joe Germains. In this latest reboot, Germains recasts the high-octane energy of the original with a floating, dreamlike atmosphere that has become his signature. This version allows the piano-led melodies to expand before grounding the track with a powerful hard groove and his trademark razor-edged synths.
The release follows a hard-edged reinterpretation by Clouds last month, further propelling the New Zealand duo's ascent in the UK and EU club scenes. Following the breakout success of their 2025 single ‘I Need You’, TWOFACED continue to bridge the gap between melodic trance and harder club sounds. Meanwhile, Faster Horses continues his rise as a compelling force in the UK underground, fresh from appearances at Glastonbury and Parklife, and releases on techno giant Teletech.
