MoBlack, Bedouin and Feki Station reimagine Salif Keita’s classic ‘Mandjou’ on Decca Records France

MoBlack has joined forces with Bedouin and Feki Station to reimagine Salif Keita’s iconic track ‘Mandjou’, landing Friday, July 24, via Decca Records France.

The release follows the global success of MoBlack’s official remix of Salif Keita’s ‘Yamore’, which achieved Diamond certification in France and five-times Diamond certification worldwide.

Feki Station has previously released through labels including MoBlack Records and earned support from Black Coffee, Keinemusik and Damian Lazarus. Bedouin, meanwhile, have established themselves at the forefront of melodic, organic and deep house as producers, DJs and the duo behind Ibiza’s acclaimed SAGA residency.

Their latest collaboration revisits one of Keita’s best-known recordings, placing his unmistakable vocals within a contemporary Afro house setting. The rework has been a closely guarded feature of MoBlack’s DJ sets for more than a year, gradually building anticipation across dancefloors around the world ahead of its official release.

MoBlack said: “Mandjou began as a spark in 2024 and naturally evolved over the following years into a collaboration with Bedouin, Salif Keita and Feki Station. It was one of those records that took time to find its true identity, with each of us adding something meaningful along the way.

“Blending organic instrumentation with electronic textures, the track is built around Salif Keita’s timeless voice and a groove that grows naturally without forcing the moment. For me, ‘Mandjou’ is about patience, connection, and letting music speak for itself, coming alive when shared together on the dancefloor.”

Built around deep percussion, organic instrumentation and richly melodic arrangements, the new version preserves the emotional weight of Keita’s original performance while translating it for contemporary dancefloors.

‘Mandjou’ is out Friday, July 24, via Decca Records France.
