Ministry of Sound Celebrates 34 Years with Armand Van Helden

This October, Ministry of Sound turns 34 and is marking the occasion with a four-room event headlined by the legendary Armand Van Helden. Emerging artists Olive F and Paisley Jensen will also join, with more names to be announced in the coming days.
Since opening in 1992, Ministry of Sound has remained an essential reference point in London nightlife, adapting to the times without losing its essence. Spaces like Smoove, dedicated to UKG, funky house, and R&B; URGE, focused on minimalist tech house; and Disco Daddy, which has hosted disco and house icons like Derrick Carter and Dimitri From Paris, ensure the club continues to set trends and surprise at every turn.
This year, the club revamped its NVR (No Velvet Rope) area, and the mezzanine now offers a full view of the Box Room, adding a VIP concept designed for a younger audience, featuring curated mocktails, low-alcohol drinks, and CBD options.
Among the most talked-about moments was the viral Toilet Takeover, a surprise rave in the women’s bathrooms with Lab54, which amassed over 20 million views across social media.
Matt Long, the club director, says:
"We’re thrilled to welcome Armand Van Helden along with Olive F and Paisley to celebrate 34 years of the club. It’s been an intense year with incredible collaborations and the launch of our No Velvet Rope Society, a new approach to the VIP experience. And this is just the beginning: we’re already planning big things for 2026, including a Box Room renovation and global expansion."
With an eye on its 35th anniversary, Ministry of Sound is preparing a year full of surprises, while continuing to cement its place as a cornerstone of dance music in the UK. Tickets for the 34th birthday celebration are still available.
