Makèz return to ANOTR’s No Art imprint with their latest two-tracker, ‘Day Starter/Affection’.
The release follows the success of last summer's standout anthem, ‘Downstream’, which quickly became one of 2023’s defining tracks.
Amsterdam-based duo Makèz have had a busy year, performing for Dutch favourites No Art in Barcelona alongside playing the collective’s annual ADE Weekender in Amsterdam and gracing the stage at the 2024 edition of No Art Festival, plus making appearances at DC10 for Circoloco, fabric and Lofi alongside house music icon Kerri Chandler. Adding to an impressive array of recent material that includes releases on Heist Recordings and Razor-N-Tape, the duo continue to deliver music that resonates with industry heavyweights such as Seth Troxler, Soul Clap, Chez Damier, and Dam Swindle. Now, returning to the imprint for their second release following on from last year’s label debut ‘Downstream’, which grew to become one of the year's biggest house anthems, their latest work reflects a refined yet vibrant approach as they unveil their new two-tracker, ‘Day Starter / Affection’ - offering a blend of timeless grooves and contemporary flair
Opener ‘Day Starter’ lives up to its name with a surge of uplifting energy and rumbling percussion, making it the perfect choice for setting the mood while entering into the peak time hours before ‘Affection’ closes the EP with lush melodies, driving rhythms, and an infectious groove.
Makèz ‘Day Starter / Affection’ is out now via No Art.
