Lee Ann Roberts announces new era with ‘take control’ EP

Lee Ann Roberts returns with ‘TAKE CONTROL’, a brand-new EP marking the first fully defined phase of her new era. Born in South Africa and shaped by constant self-reinvention, Roberts has channelled past pressures into absolute artistic control. This project represents a precise concentration of everything that makes her a compelling figure in the international circuit: tension, discipline, and emotional force.

The project opens on May 22nd with ‘IN THE SHADOWS’, a tense, fast-moving fusion of punchy techno and psytrance driven by a distinctive vocal topline. The rest of the EP explores dark, late-night endurance. ‘IN YOUR MIND’ offers a sinister psy-techno cut with acid-tinged rave nuances, while ‘THE NIGHT GOES ON’ delivers a blistering bassline and strong forward momentum.

The title track, ‘TAKE CONTROL’, brings a more measured pace anchored by spacious atmospherics and commanding vocals. It is followed by ‘OUT OF THE DARK’, a heavy, energetic track designed to hold the dancefloor deep into a set. Finally, ‘BACK TO THE RHYTHM’ sees Lee Ann return to her roots with a stripped-back structure where the vocal sits deep in the mix to capture pure mood.

Drawing from hard techno pressure, psytrance tension, and cinematic mainstage architecture, ‘TAKE CONTROL’ launches in full on July 24th, with the first single arriving on May 22nd.
