Kai Alce, Charlie Soul Clap, Dennis Quin and more remix Louie Vega's 'Seven Mile'

Nervous Records will release a new remix package of Louie Vega’s 'Seven Mile' featuring Moodymann on May 30, 2025.

Originally appearing on Vega’s acclaimed 2022 album Expansions in the NYC, the track now returns with a series of reworks by some of house music’s most respected producers, including remixes from Kai Alce, Dennis Quin, Charlie Soul Clap, Rocco Rodamaal, and Alex Finkin.

Included in the release is a shorter version of the original alongside a jazzy, instrumental demo by Vega himself. Elsewhere, Dutch producer Dennis Quin serves up a driving remix of crisp house beats with Moodymann’s soulful vocals, French deep house veteran Rocco Rodamaal goes hypnotic on his Deep Down Mix, and also collaborates with Parisian producer Alex Finkin on a more cosmic and spiritual remix before offering a Bubbly Dubby Mix and corresponding instrumental.

Atlanta’s Kai Alce brings his signature soulfulness, tight percussion and warm, glowing chords, and Charlie from Soul Clap closes out the package with two of his own versions - a straightforward and effective house interpretation and the more experimental Wild Remix' with jazzy flourishes.

These remixes bring plenty of fresh perspective to Seven Mile' while preserving the essence of what makes the original such and enduring classic.
