Julia Linkogel & Solique: “Fragments” Finds Its Way To Siamese
After becoming a familiar moment in their sets, the German artists bring their collaboration to Adriatique’s Siamese Anthology XI.
Some tracks establish their place on the dancefloor long before they reach a streaming platform. “Fragments”, the collaboration between Julia Linkogel and German production duo Solique, has followed that trajectory. Tested across their respective performances and met with repeated requests for a release, the record finally arrives on November 6 as part of Siamese Anthology XI, released through Adriatique’s Zurich-based label.
Its appeal lies in the way it handles anticipation. A slightly detuned lead melody emerges during the breakdown, gradually taking control of the arrangement before opening into a euphoric release. Female vocal elements drift through atmospheric layers, while a rolling bassline and restrained percussion maintain the track’s physical momentum. The production leaves enough space for the central melody to carry its emotional weight without losing its connection to the floor.
Behind that balance are two approaches to electronic music that share an interest in melody but arrive there from different directions.
For Julia Linkogel, classical training has remained a defining influence. Having studied piano and vocals from an early age, the German-born, UK-based producer approaches melodic house and techno through an understanding of harmony and musical progression. Her releases on Radikon, ICONYC, Enhanced and EXIT Strategy reflect a sound that draws from several traditions without allowing any single one to dominate.
Solique, the partnership between Julien and Can, work with a different sense of movement. Their productions favour hypnotic structures, intricate rhythmic patterns and melodies that develop gradually rather than demanding immediate attention. Releases through Innervisions, microCastle, ICONYC and HABITAT Records have established a production language in which repetition becomes a source of tension.
On “Fragments”, these sensibilities meet without competing for space. The rhythmic framework provides continuity, allowing the melodic elements to expand and contract around it. The result is a track that understands both the intimacy of a musical phrase and the collective response it can produce in a club.
Its arrival on Siamese carries a further connection.
Founded by Adriatique in 2016, the label has become a platform for electronic music shaped by atmosphere, detailed production and a particular relationship between melody and rhythm. Linkogel has previously performed at Adriatique’s X events in Barcelona, Beirut and London, while the Swiss duo have supported her productions.
For Solique, the release also marks a return to the label’s wider catalogue following their appearance on Siamese Soundsystem in 2024.
The timing places “Fragments” within an active period for Linkogel. In October, she released “Feeling It” alongside Ivory on EXIT Strategy and attended Amsterdam Dance Event, where she was recognised in the 1001Tracklists Future of Dance 2026 selection.
Yet “Fragments” carries its own history, independent of those developments. Its relationship with audiences was established through repeated appearances in live sets, where the response to the music preceded its official release.
That sequence matters. In a landscape where electronic tracks often circulate digitally before finding their audience in clubs, “Fragments” has travelled in the opposite direction.
The dancefloor encountered it first. The release simply gives that experience a permanent form.
“Fragments” by Julia Linkogel & Solique is released November 6, 2026, as part of Siamese Anthology XI.
