Jarreau Vandal and Amazone announce genre-blending single 'Heartless'
Dutch producer Jarreau Vandal has teamed up with rising vocalist Amazone for a bold new single titled 'Heartless', set for release this Friday, 8 August.
Jarreau Vandal is known for his eclectic approach to production, blending elements of gospel, soul, jazz, house, and global sounds into a signature style that has earned him international recognition. From viral edits and remixes to collaborations with artists like Kojey Radical and Tay Iwar, he consistently pushes creative boundaries.
Joining him on 'Heartless' is Amazone, a Surinamese-Dutch singer-songwriter with a genre-fluid sound rooted in the African diaspora. Her debut EP, Who Is She?, introduced a fresh mix of Afrohouse, R&B, and Afrobeat, always with emotionally resonant lyrics and vibrant rhythms.
‘Heartless’ is a rhythmic, cross-continental track that blends Moroccan Amazigh samples with South African-inspired 3-step percussion, layered with synthetic flutes, Latin guitar, and a heavy bassline. Amazone’s vocals add brightness and emotional edge while musing on themes of vulnerability and cultural fusion.
