Jamback Finds Light in the Dark with “Positive”
Written in the wake of his mother’s passing, Jamback’s CircoLoco Records debut blends grit, emotion and groove into one powerful release.
Out now CircoLoco Records.
Dutch DJ and producer Jamback makes a striking arrival on CircoLoco Records with “Positive,” a track driven by raw feeling and club-focused force. Beneath its hypnotic pulse lies a deeply personal narrative shaped by loss and the search for release.
“I wrote ‘Positive’ after losing my mother to lung cancer,” Jamback shares. “Everything felt heavy, and I needed to find a way to turn that pain into movement. It’s a journey through grief and rough edges, but also a release and eventually, joy. I hope people can feel that emotional shift when they hear it.”
“Positive” is anchored in a gritty bassline and bubbling synth motif, built for peak system impact with emotional weight at its core. The track quickly became one of this summer’s most talked-about IDs after Chris Stussy opened his debut Coachella set with it and continued to champion it across his tour schedule.
The release reflects Jamback’s signature approach: minimal in form, expressive in feeling, rooted in the underground Dutch house scene while resonating on global dancefloors. With previous releases reaching number one on Beatport via Eastenderz and Home Studios, this CircoLoco Records signing marks a new level in his ascent.
