HI-LO drops a peak-time techno weapon with new version of 'Work That Body'

HI-LO is back with another explosive techno sound which is a rework of Temper’s Intrigue Hard Club Mix titled 'Work That Body' and it is out now of Armada Music.

In just a few years, Oliver Heldens has transformed from a mainstream dance figure into a respected force in the underground techno world with his HI-LO alias. Known for his dark, driving sound and genre-defying approach, it has earned support from top techno artists and seen him play cultured events all over the world. He has had many chart topping tunes and also heads up his own label HILOMATIK and makes his mark again here.

HI-LO says, "I’ve been loving the resurgence of high-energy Trance, Hard House, Hard Groove, and Speed Garage in the last couple of years, which has been noticeable in my DJ sets and some of my releases as well. When I heard Malugi, one of my favorite DJs who’s part of that resurgence, play the original Hard Club Mix of Temper's 'Work That Body' from 2001 in his Boiler Room debut, I just could not resist updating and reworking that track into a modern peak time Reese bass monster. The rework process took a slight detour, as Malugi also wanted to try some things with my new version; however, in the end, he left it up to me. And after a lot of tweaks and after lots of roadtesting in my own sets, but also in sets of Adam Beyer, Amelie Lens, Joseph Capriati, and Eli Brown, I’m really happy with the great live reactions and I can’t wait for the rest of the world to have this infectious tune!”

'Work That Body' has already earned early support from key names in the scene, including Adam Beyer and Joseph Capriati, Blending crisp percussion, a rolling low-end groove, and an infectious vocal energy, it fuses big-room energy with raw underground intensity and retains the spirit of the original while injecting HI-LO's own signature techno flair so it is suited to both massive stages and gritty warehouses.

You can hear 'Work That Body' here.
