Gashouder returns to ade with seven-show preview of its new era

Gashouder is officially returning to Amsterdam Dance Event.

Ahead of its full reopening in November following an extensive redevelopment, one of electronic music’s most iconic venues will host seven ADE showcases from October 21–25, offering the first glimpse of its new identity while reaffirming its place at the heart of Amsterdam’s clubbing culture.

For decades, Gashouder has been synonymous with some of electronic music’s most memorable productions. From legendary Awakenings events to landmark live performances, the venue’s vast circular architecture has helped define countless moments in dance music history. This October, a new chapter begins.

The first wave of programming reflects an intentionally broad vision, spanning trance, house, UK garage, minimal and hard techno while bringing together internationally established names alongside artists driving the next generation of electronic music.

Five-time DJ Mag Top 100 winner Armin van Buuren will open the venue’s ADE programme alongside Benwal, Idemi and Olive Anguz, marking the first event inside the renovated space.

“It is special to host this show during ADE at this iconic and renovated venue,” says Armin van Buuren. “Gashouder has always been a place where music, culture, and connection come together, and it is wonderful to kick off this week together right here.”

Elsewhere, Brazilian phenomenon MOCHAKK brings his globally celebrated MOCHAKK CALLING concept to Amsterdam, joined by ISAbella, Juliana X, MPH and Solarce Brothers, with additional artists still to be announced.

Dutch favourite Job Jobse will present what is being described as the biggest headline performance of his career so far, sharing the bill with Ryan Elliott and BASHKKA.

Hard techno arrives courtesy of I Hate Models and Nico Moreno, who unite for a collaborative event featuring Emilija and MAUDUX, while one of UK garage’s biggest success stories, Sammy Virji, curates his own night alongside Riria, Rossi., SAIDAH and Sam Alfred.

House music also features prominently throughout the programme. Franky Rizardo brings his FLOW concept to Gashouder with Cloonee, Mason Collective, Easttown, Grace Arribas and AAT, before Josh Baker closes the ADE programme alongside Alexandria, Marie Montexier and Marsolo.

According to Gashouder programmers Jam and Jali van der Valk, the programme represents more than simply a reopening.

“With these first announcements, we’re not only showcasing the incredible diversity of electronic music today, but also the role Gashouder aims to play within it: a place where different scenes, generations and communities come together. ADE is only the beginning.”

The ADE programme serves as the venue’s pre-opening season before its official public launch in November. Once fully operational, Gashouder will become one of Amsterdam’s largest independent cultural venues, welcoming more than 3,500 visitors for a year-round programme spanning electronic music, live performance, visual arts and multidisciplinary events.

With one of the city’s most recognisable stages returning to action, Gashouder looks set to become one of the defining destinations of ADE 2026.
