Ferra Black Joins Forces With MK on ‘On My Mind’

After more than a decade building his career independently, Ferra Black reaches a major milestone with a collaboration alongside MK. The track will feature on the house icon's forthcoming album, In the Night Again, out October 30.

Ferra Black's journey into electronic music was anything but conventional. Before pursuing his artistic career, he served in the military and worked as a police officer, all while holding on to a passion for music that never faded.

“Music wasn't always the plan, but it eventually became the one thing I couldn't walk away from.”

For over a decade, he balanced professional responsibilities with countless hours developing his sound, bringing the same discipline and determination from his previous experiences into the studio.

“After serving in the military and working as a police officer, I brought that same discipline and determination into music, I took everything those experiences taught me and poured it into music.”

That persistence has now led to a collaboration with MK, the Detroit-born producer whose influence has shaped house music across generations. Their track, ‘On My Mind’, marks one of the most significant moments in Ferra's career, opening a new chapter in his artistic journey.

“There are times when I question whether it will ever pay off. But I never stopped believing in myself. Now, collaborating with house music legend MK, marks one of the biggest milestones of my journey so far.”
