Dutch talent D Stone rewires classic house on his Heist Recordings debut
The five-track ‘Time Selection’ EP lands on Dam Swindle’s label this September.

Fresh out of the Dutch Royal Conservatory, Amsterdam-based DJ and producer D Stone is already making a name for himself as one of the underground scene’s most talked-about emerging talents. Following a superb run of form on labels like 803 Crystal Grooves, Smiile, and Semi Delicious – and key backing from tastemakers such as Barry Can’t Swim and Folamour – he now lines up a dream pairing on Dam Swindle’s Heist Recordings with the ‘Time Selection’ EP.
The EP opens with 'Yes I Am’, a stripped-back yet infectious house cut with driving 909 percussion, playful vocal chops, and lush piano flourishes atop a rolling bassline and retro flutes. It’s a breezy groove that works as both a mid-set palate cleanser or an early-hours mood-setter. 'Move Over' sees D Stone tap into early Chicago house, blending ELY’s nostalgic electro-pop vocals with timeless pianos and classic drum work. Title cut ‘Time Selection’ is the EP’s most peak-time moment, built around a bold piano theme, punchy 909s, disco-leaning FX, and sweeping strings that deliver a heady dose of euphoria.
On the flip, 'One Thing' leans into a more laidback, bass-led swagger, full of retro-future charm and melodic subtlety, before 'Everything From The Organ' closes out with D Stone’s love for throwback rave energy at the fore: colourful organ sequences, tight grooves, and rushes of soulful diva vocals.
D Stone’s ‘Time Selection’ EP drops via Heist Recordings on 19th September 2025, with ‘Move Over’ set to release on August 29th.
