Cryme releases reality rush his second ep on New Berlin Label Seven.
Christoph Faust and Mesmer join him on the EP as remix artists 23 January 2024
Berlin House artist CRYME has released his second EP on his label SEVEN which he launched at the end of last year. For “REALITY RUSH” he worked with Christoph Faust and Mesmer on remixes.
The 5 track EP includes 2 mixes of Reality Rush plus tracks Aurora and Orbit.Exp.
Talking about the release, CRYME said
“We had such fun making this one and it was wonderful collaborating with Christoph and Mesmer. I’m so happy with how it turned out and I really love the vibe we were able to create together.
REALITY RUSH is an upbeat house number with a warm, sunrise-like energy. It combines a playful soundscape with 90’s classic drums and a strong bassline. Following the label SEVEN’s vision it is a fantastic balance of house and techno music.
Christoph Faust delivered a Detroit inspired version retaining the big synth stabs, but reversing the vocals and adding new vocal samples. He told MixMag he was very proud of the result and said for him it was “Classic Faust Sound, powerful but jazzy”

A second remix by Berlin based artist Mesmer reimagines Reality Rush with reverb and delay, adding depth while maintaining a mellow, laid-back vibe complimenting the original.
The release already has support of DJ’s including Ogazon and has seen plays across clubs including Berghain in Berlin.
REALITY RUSH is the third EP from Berlin’s new label SEVEN which plays at the intersection of House and Techno. Upcoming releases in future months include an all queer artist release headed by Posture and Sparkly Pony with remixes by Eoin DJ and 131bpm. Following that is a Tal Fussman release including remix by Swiss House legend Deetron. The label’’s upcoming VA showcases talent including Sol Ortega, Retromigration and Ackermann.
SEVEN7003 REALITY RUSH by CRYME is available now on Digital and 12” Vinyl from SEVEN’s Bandcamp store, Beatport and major record stores. Trade distribution is by Triple Vision.
