Cobblestone Jazz announces new ‘Generations’ EP Ahead of Studio Relocation

Seminal electronic trio Cobblestone Jazz has announced a new three-track EP, recorded during a five-day session at Freedom Engine Studios in Berlin. This session marks their final work at the studio before its relocation to Lisbon.
The EP is led by the title track, 'Generations,' a long-form composition that highlights the use of the PPG Wave synthesizer and reflects the group’s improvisational style and sonic range.
On the B-side, 'The Whipper' presents a contrasting approach that was developed as an experiment in sound design. The track features extensive processing with Alessia Nvelope and Karacter 500-series modules and signals a shift toward a more assertive, club-oriented sound, and it has already been tested in live performances by the groups' Mathew Jonson.
The release concludes with 'Generations (Version),' a shorter rework of the title track featuring additional percussion and designed with DJs in mind.
The EP is set for release on June 11, 2025, through ITISWHATITIS Recordings
