Globally-renowned DJ/producer Chris Stussy opens 2025 with ‘It’s About Us’, the third offering on his burgeoning CSS imprint. Set to drop on 31st January, the track sets the tone for what promises to be a milestone weekend for the Dutch favourite - arriving a day before the first-ever USS event at London’s iconic Roundhouse on 1st February alongside special guests Locklead and Moxie.
Following the success of his ‘Won’t Stop (Don’t)’ EP on Up The Stuss to close 2024, ‘It’s About Us’ sees a return to sister-label CSS, adding to standout releases ‘Desire’ and ‘Go’ featuring Moby. Showcasing Stussy’s continued evolution and creative depth, the single highlights CSS’s growing role as a platform for experimentation. With ‘It’s About Us’, he unveils a production rich with hypnotic grooves and emotive melodies guided by his own vocals to craft a record primed for intimate settings and expansive dancefloors alike.
“‘It’s About Us’ is a track I made which is dedicated to the launch of my new event concept: USS. The lyrics that you hear in the track represent what I’m aiming for with the concept of the event. I’d really like to ensure that the collective of people attending our events will be the main focus and centre of everything, not necessarily the artist performing at that moment. The decisions we will make for our event - from stage design to lighting and other details - are all made with the idea of making sure the experience is more important than one single individual. This is how the event took shape and the core inspiration I had for this track. In my mind, I could play this at the very start of my sets, in particular at The Roundhouse on Feb 1st.
