Caprices Festival, Switzerland’s premier mountaintop gathering, enters a new era. After 23 editions in Crans-Montana, the festival’s flagship winter edition will relocate to Eggli, Gstaad for 2026. The move marks a thoughtful evolution, introducing a new setting, new stages and an upgraded production design that makes use of existing structures to enhance sound, comfort and continuity. Standing high above the slopes, Eggli offers a breathtaking 360° panorama of the Swiss Alps, where pristine nature meets cutting-edge electronic music.

This transition represents growth rather than reinvention. After more than twenty years defining the blueprint for mountain festivals, Caprices expands what its winter edition can offer: deeper integration with the landscape, stronger weather protection, and fresh creative possibilities for staging and scenography. The Gstaad region brings its own charm, with over 201km of slopes, husky sled rides, hiking, biking and more. At its core, the festival remains rooted in the values that have sustained it for two decades – meticulous curation, world-class sound and a global community of music lovers from more than 75 countries.

A revamped access system will see gondolas running continuously from midday until 4AM, offering a swift seven-minute ascent to the festival. At the summit, a newly designed Eggli layout will host three distinct glasshouse stages:

The Peak Stage, built for large-scale shows with expansive Alpine views.
The CNTRL Stage, an intimate setting tailored for longer sets and exclusive b2b moments.
The Ridge Stage, dedicated to experimental sounds and immersive concepts.

Across all stages, Caprices will continue its legacy of exceptional scenography, lighting, mapping and installations.

“Caprices has always been about the connection between nature, art and music. By moving to Gstaad, we remain faithful to this vision while taking the overall experience to an even higher level,” says Maxime Léonard, Co-Founder and CEO of Caprices Festival.

The 2026 edition maintains the close-knit family spirit of Caprices, with many of its most emblematic artists returning. Ricardo Villalobos, Luciano (appearing in a special b2b with Dennis Cruz), Sonja Moonear, Sven Väth, DJ Tennis, Jamie Jones, Bedouin, Dan Ghenacia and Raresh with RPR Soundsystem stand among the iconic names in this first announcement. Their ongoing presence reflects the deep relationships Caprices has cultivated over two decades.

Alongside returning legends, the festival welcomes a new wave of breakthrough stars performing at Caprices for the first time. Artists including Vintage Culture, Josh Baker, Mau P, Adam Ten, Mita Gami, Alisha, Cincity, Sally C and Stoffela represent the next generation shaping the global electronic landscape. “We want Caprices to remain ahead of the curve, a place where the artists who built the festival meet the talents defining the future of electronic music,” says Kerol Kollom, Head of Talent.

The phase one lineup includes Adam Ten, Cincity, DVS1, Ilario Alicante, Joseph Capriati, Luciano b2b Dennis Cruz, Mind Against, Rossi., Ryan Elliott b2b Quest, Sven Väth and WhoMadeWho (Hybrid Set).

Weekend Two (March 20–22) opens the spectrum further, flowing across house, minimal, afro-influenced grooves and late-night journeys from sunset to sunrise. A dedicated shuttle network will connect surrounding villages – Saanen, Rougemont, Schönried, Saanenmöser, Turbach, Lauenen and Zweisimmen – to both the resort and the festival site, operating day and night. Full timetables will be available online.
