Brighton Music Conference returns with 808 State, Arthur Baker, Fatboy Slim, Jess Bays, Paul Oakenfold and many more

The Brighton Music Conference is recognised as the UK’s leading coming together for electronic music professionals and it is back for its 12th edition from 21–23 May 2025 with a comprehensive programme of panels, workshops, networking events and artist showcases.

Over 240 industry leaders will participate across multiple venues in Brighton, with keynotes, wellness sessions, and exclusive performances forming part of this year’s expanded offering. BMC 2025 will feature a wide range of sessions focused on industry trends, artist development, A&R, sync licensing, AI and sustainability in music production with names like Fatboy Slim, Paul Oakenfold, DJ Rap, 808 State, Arthur Baker, Fat Tony and Jumping Jack Frost among those confirmed to appear.

A new Health, Wellbeing & Lifestyle Programme has been developed in partnership with Skiddle and will cover topics such as mental health, nutrition and hearing protection, an A&R Sessions segment offering one-on-one feedback from representatives of major labels including Defected, Beatport, Armada and Toolroom Records is also planned, and AFEM's Meet the Experts initiative offers direct access to music professionals for personalised career guidance.

With the addition of Brighton’s Horizon nightclub - formerly The Honey Club/Shooosh - BMC expands its capacity to host a broader schedule so new panels will explore the evolution of jungle, crediting vocalists and the dynamics between radio, playlists and podcasts. Sessions on DJing and motherhood, neurodiversity in the industry and burnout prevention are also featured prominently.

Highlight interviews include Graham Massey of 808 State, Arthur Baker and Paul Oakenfold and an exclusive screening of the Frankie Knuckles documentary will also be presented, followed by a live Q&A session.

The Tempest Programme will focus on practical industry knowledge, covering PR and marketing, artist income streams, campaign strategy and social media navigation. Workshops will also address sync licensing, AI, and artist branding, along with a final “Ask Us Anything” session for open audience engagement.

Networking opportunities are a cornerstone of BMC and a variety of them and club events across Brighton will allow attendees to connect with peers and mentors. Evening showcases will feature artists including Ray Keith, Sarah Monument, DJ Rap, and Paul Oakenfold, with venues such as Volks, Horizon, Patterns, The Waterbear Venue, and The Tempest playing host.

The official closing party will be held at Oculist on Friday, 23 May in collaboration with Decadance UK Radio, featuring a lineup of emerging and established talent and live broadcasting.
