Bontan launches North Drum label with debut single 'Forever'

UK DJ and producer Bontan has officially launched his new label, North Drum, with the release of the inaugural single 'Forever' on 13 June 13 2025. The track marks a new chapter in Bontan’s career and serves as a statement of intent for his label’s musical direction.

'Forever' blends rhythmic percussion with house and acid-influenced sounds that have been hallmarks of Bontan’s production style and earned him multiple Beatport #1s and a consistent presence among the platform’s highest-selling artists. The track has already received early support from artists including Jamie Jones, Joseph Capriati, Diplo, Carlita and AMÉMÉ.

Says Bontan, "I started North Drum as a way to spotlight the raw power of organic drum sounds and punchy percussion, all wrapped in rolling house grooves with a touch of acid flavour. It’s more than just a label for my own releases — it’s a home for my sound and a platform for like-minded artists who are also pushing percussive, groove-driven music forward.”

The launch comes in the midst of an already big year for Bontan. It has included performances at Coachella, a second BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix and sold-out shows across North America while he has also contributed remixes for artists such as DJ Snake, Green Velvet and HoneyLuv.

The label has plans for a future event series and a focus on building a community around its sound.
