Beatport launches DJ competition giving two DJs the chance to play The Block at Appetite on the Farm

Two DJs will have the chance to play this year’s Appetite on the Farm after Beatport and the Essex festival announced a new competition to find two artists to perform on The Block stage.

The winners will each secure a 60-minute set on Beatport Live’s custom-built Funktion-One stage at Kelvedon Hall on 29–30 August, alongside VIP festival passes, DJ software, Beatport Streaming and merchandise prizes.

The Block is Beatport Live’s touring container stage dedicated to showcasing electronic music talent at festivals and events. Built inside a converted 20-foot shipping container and fitted with a high-spec Funktion-One sound system, it provides a dedicated space for DJs to connect with audiences.

Appetite on the Farm returns this summer for its fifth edition with a lineup featuring Jamie Jones, Skream, MJ Cole, Eliza Rose, Shanti Celeste, Todd Edwards, Silva Bumpa, Max Dean and Luke Dean among others.

Known for balancing international names with fresh talent, the Essex festival has become one of the UK’s leading independent electronic music events since launching in 2022. The Beatport partnership continues its focus on creating opportunities for the next generation of DJs.

DJs can enter by submitting a mix via the competition landing page. Entries close Wednesday 12 August at 5PM BST.
