Awesome Soundwave Launches 'Asw Live' And Announces New Album

Founded in 2018 by Carl Cox and Christopher Coe, independent electronic label Awesome Soundwave has officially launched its new event series, ASW Live. Expanding on eight years of releasing music built around live improvisation and hardware performance, the initiative aims to bring label artists and local live acts together in immersive underground venues worldwide.

The series kicks off in Ireland and Northern Ireland with two launch events on August 28th, 2026, at Pawn Shop in Dublin and August 29th at The Ulster Sports Club in Belfast. Both dates feature live performances from Phil Kieran—revisiting his catalog through real-time hardware manipulation—and Christopher Coe, performing improvised techno with Eurorack modular systems. The series will continue in October with a special show in Ibiza featuring Sebastian Mullaert, Stimming, and Coe.

“We felt it was time to return to the smaller venue experience, where we can genuinely connect with audiences and showcase more local live artists," shared Christopher Coe. "With ASW Live, we want to create that underground feeling again, where anything can happen and the music can be wild and free.”

Alongside the new event format, Awesome Soundwave confirmed its upcoming album release, Holds The Sky, a collaborative project between Swedish producer Sebastian Mullaert and Georgian vocalist and composer Tamarma. Following the singles "Being Colours" and Mullaert's rework of the title track, the full album is scheduled for release on September 25th, 2026.
