ANOTR return with highly-anticipated single ‘How You Feel’, linking up with Erik Bandt and Leven Kali.
Landing on 19th April, the long-awaited release of one of the duo's most-requested tracks to date showcases the No Art bosses' first new music since the release of their critically acclaimed debut album, ‘The Reset’, and their first material alongside both Bandt and Kali.
Undeniably two of the most in-demand individuals within electronic music, Dutch favourites Jesse van der Heijden and Oguzhan Guney, aka ANOTR, have crafted their own path within the house landscape and haven’t looked back since. Their critically acclaimed debut album ‘The Reset’ showcased the duo’s unique vision to its fullest with 140m+ streams, while their seemingly never-ending run of sold-out shows and global No Art and EXPO events, including their recent Club Space debut during Miami Music Week, have only solidified their place at the forefront of the scene - highlighted by their latest milestone as DJ Mag’s March Cover Stars. And while all of this fever pitch continues to stir, the pair’s open-mindedness and risk-taking approach is once again on display as they begin to unveil their next evolution of studio work.
A product of global studio experimentation from LA to Amsterdam, coinciding with their Weekend 2 appearance at Coachella, 19th April brings the eagerly anticipated release of ‘How You Feel’ alongside Erik Bandt and Los Angeles-based vocalist Leven Kali to usher in the next chapter of their sonic journey and deliver another instant modern classic.
“We make most of our music at retreats by disconnecting for a few weeks and going fully into the music. We knew the instrumental was special and played it out, but we felt a vocal would take it to the next level. In September, we went to LA for a show and rented a villa to make music and work with singers/songwriters. This is where we met Leven Kali & Raven Ziegler. We had a session that went really well, but we decided that one wasn’t enough. So we planned another session on the last day and played the instrumental. They were instantly vibing, and the track just happened from there. We’ve been playing it out ever since and happy to finally share it with the world.” - ANOTR.
From the already iconic vocals courtesy of Kali and the vibrant bass licks to the intricately worked percussion and sweeping atmospherics that ebb and flow amongst the track’s captivating builds and breaks, ‘How You Feel’ is an early contender for track of the year as van de Heijden and Guney pick up right where they left off with another creative masterclass.
