Adam Beyer drops new tracks from upcoming album ‘Explorer Vol.1’ including collaboration with Layton Giordani

Adam Beyer has released two new tracks, ‘Taking Back Control’ and ‘Alto’, the latter a collaboration with producer Layton Giordani. The releases are part of the ongoing rollout for the Drumcode label head's forthcoming album, ‘Explorer Vol.1’, his first full-length project in over two decades.
Following earlier singles including the title track ‘Explorer’ and ‘Hypnotic’, a collaboration with HNTR featuring Kygo, this latest release continues to build momentum around the much anticipated album. Beyer has supported its rollout with a series of huge events including a 12,000-person Drumcode party at Drumsheds and a pop-up show in London.
Says Adam Beyer, “I sent Layton a lot of my sketches while on tour, and this one caught his attention. I laid down the melodies and core structure, then he brought Alto to life with his signature drums and finishing touches. We sampled an iconic vocal from the same source as The Orb’s Little Fluffy Clouds. It’s euphoric, emotional and written in a major key which is rare for me, and has become a set closer, especially in Ibiza. Always goes off.”
‘Taking Back Control’ blends techno elements with vocal influences drawn from other genres such as trap, while ‘Alto’ marks another collaboration between Beyer and Giordani following their past work both in the studio and during back-to-back DJ sets at various festivals.
These new tracks are available now on both digital and vinyl formats.
