Adam Beyer and Julian Jeweil release first collaboration on Drumcode

Adam Beyer and Julian Jeweil have teamed up for the first time on their new single Loca, out now as part of Beyer’s new album Explorer Vol.1 on his label Drumcode.

Adam Beyer is a Swedish techno pioneer and the founder of Drumcode, one of the most influential labels in electronic music. Explorer Vol.1 marks his first full-length album in 23 years. Julian Jeweil is a French producer of melodic techno and a frequent presence on labels like Cocoon, Minus and Drumcode.

Says Adam Beyer, “Julien sent me a track and asked if I wanted to jump on it. I reworked it into something that throws back to the older, bigger drum kit sounds from 5–8 years ago. It’s a drum workout with real mixability, energy, and a screaming vocal sample that gives it character. Reminds me of early Laurent Garnier stuff.”

'Loca' is a high-energy, heads-down track that blends old school rave elements with the punchy, hypnotic style that defined Drumcode’s 2010s output.
